Neet 2019 Eligibility Criteria for Exam
- Those who are Indian nationals, OCI, PIO, NRI and foreign candidate will eligible for exam.

Answer: As per the press release published by NTA on August 21,National Eligiblity cum entrance test (NEET) 2019 exam will be held in (pen and paper )offline mode only .This implies that the candidates will receive an OMR sheet wherein they have to tick their responses. Earlier, as per the press conference conducted on 7th June,, it was announced by MoHFW Minister, Prakash Javadekar that the NEET exam will be conducted online in two sessions . But now the conduction of exam in multiple shifts as well as the computer based exam mode have been retracted.
Question: Who is going to conduct the NEET exam from 2019?
Answer: As per the news in a press conference held on July 7, it was announced that NTA will conduct NEET exam 2019 twice a year instead of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Question: What are the basic eligibility criteria for appearing in NEET-UG 2019?
Answer: The following are the minimum eligibility criteria for the aspirants to appear for NEET 2019:
Aspirants are required to complete 17 years of age as on December 31, 2019 in order to apply for NTA NEET 2019. Students born on or before January 1, 2003, or the candidates more than 25 years will not be considered eligible for the national examination.
Candidates must qualify their Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised central or state board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the core subjects.
The qualifying marks for general category applicants is 50%, while for SC/ST/OBC, it is 40%

Question: How many attempts are there for NEET MBBS 2019?
Answer: As per the latest notifications on attempts, there is no limit on the number of attempts. An aspirant can appear as many times as he/she wish to.
Question: I will be choosing Oriya as the medium of paper, shall I be eligible to participate under 15% All India Quota seats?
Answer: Yes, only candidates obtaining the minimum NEET cut off 2019 will be eligible to participate for 15% AIQ seats. Also such aspirants can look forward to participate for other quotas such as state quota seats, deemed and central universities, private colleges for management quota.
Question: If a candidate has a year gap between class 11 and 12, will he/she be eligible to appear for NEET 2019?
Answer: Yes, candidates with a gap year between Class 11 and Class 12 will be eligible to appear for NEET UG exam 2019. Previously , as per the amendment of Medical Council of India (MCI), was mandatory for a student to continue two years of study to become eligible to take NEET. However, this amendment was removed by Delhi High Court and aspirants with a year gap can appear for NEET 2019.
Question: Is there any upper age limit to appear for NEET exam?
Answer: Only unreserved/general category candidates who will attain 25 years as on the date of exam and reserved (SC/ST/OBC) aspirants who will attain 30 years as on the date of exam can appear for the exam. General candidates must be born on or after May 7, 1993 and reserved candidates must have born on or after May 7, 1988.
Question: How to know if I am eligible for NEET or not?
Answer: As per the prescribed eligibility criteria, “The simple formula to verify your eligibility is by ensuring that you have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology with English (Core) continuously for two years and have secured the required category-wise percentage”.
NEET FAQs on Application Form
Aspirants appearing for the NEET UG entrance examination will be required to fill the application form of NEET 2019. Though, the application form will be released by NTA, there might be some changes which can be experienced this time. Thus, based on the queries of candidates from previous years, below are some of related NEET 2019 FAQs on application form.
Question: What is the date of availability of application form and what will be last date for submission?
Answer: As per the press release, NEET application form will be available on November 1, 2018, in online mode only. Only the registered candidates with all the relevant information will be eligible to take the entrance examination. The last date for NEET UG online registrations 2019 will be November 30, 2018.
Question: Will there be any changes in the amount of NEET UG application fees? How can I pay the application fee?
Answer: NTA has confirmed through their press release that the NEET UG application fee will remain the same. For general category, it will be Rs. 1400, while candidates belonging to reserved category need to pay Rs. 750.
The application accepts the payment through debit cards issued by all recognised national and multinational banks as well as Rupay. One can also pay through Internet banking or UPI methods. Aspirants can otherwise visit the Common Service Centres and pay via E-wallets.
Question: I have finished making payment but the final confirmation page is still not being displayed. What should I do?
Answer: Aspirants are advised to wait for 24 hours. Take the print out of the confirmation page in next 24 hours as there could be delay in updation of fees on NIC server from the gateway payment. This updation is done within 24 hours maximum. Thereafter if the confirmation page is still not generated, pay the fees once again and take the printout of the confirmation page. The excess fee paid will be automatically refunded in the account from which application fee has been remitted. If the problem is still not resolved, contact the respective banks for further clarification.
Question: While submitting my application form, my session is shown as expired before as I soon as I try to submit it. Thus, the form remains unfulfilled or unsubmitted. What can I do?
Answer: It should be ensured that aspirants submits the application form within a maximum duration of 30 minutes. The session expires after this time. First, save one part of the form and save it as draft. Save each part of the form similarly before beginning the new one. This way, none of the entered information will be lost even if the session expires. It must be ensured that candidates keep all the required information ready before commencing with the form.
Question: How to get proof of fee payment made to NTA for NEET 2019?
Answer: Once the confirmation page is generated, it means the fee payment has been successful. Further, in the lower portion of the confirmation page, details of the fee payment such as transaction ID are given which may be saved for future reference. No other receipt will be provided.
Question: What if I made a mistake while entering the following information in NEET 2019 application form, can I change it now?

Answer: The answer to all four of the above is yes, students will be able to change these details in the NEET application correction window that will open from first week of December 2018. Please ensure that all the details are entered correctly in this window as no other chance to change the form will be given.
Question: What if uploaded my photograph without the mandatory name and date at the bottom?
Answer: Candidates will not be allowed to make any changes to the uploaded photograph. If the photo is otherwise correct, i.e. it matches size specifications and clearly shows the candidate’s face, then it will be accepted by the NTA even without the name and date.
Question: I have opted for English question paper, but in a city which is not in my home state. Will I be able to appear for NEET MBBS 2019?
Answer: The papers in English, Hindi and Urdu languages will be distributed in all exam centres. So if candidates are appearing for NEET 2019 in English language, they can select the city most convenient to them. There will be no problem in appearing.
Question: If I am opting for Tamil as my language choice, will I be able to appear for NEET in Delhi?
Answer: No. All candidates appearing for NEET UG in vernacular/regional languages will only be permitted to select a city located in the state in which the language is spoken. So candidates will have to select a city in Tamil Nadu if they wish to appear for NEET in Tamil
Question: What are the specifications for photograph and signature? What should be the date shown on the photograph?
Answer: As per the NEET 2019 application guidelines, candidates should keep the following details in mind with regard to photo and signature:
File size can be between 10 KB and 100 KB
Format should be JPG
Should be a colour passport size and taken on a white background
Should carry the name of the candidate and date of taking photograph in print at the bottom
Candidate should not be wearing cap or goggles. Non-tinted specs are allowed.

Should be done in running hand with black or blue pen on a white background
NTA will intimate candidates regarding any correction pertaining to the photograph and signature through e-mail/SMS and the same can be checked through the candidate’s login account.
Question: Should I send copy of my NEET application and other documents by post to NTA?
Answer: Please note that the entire NEET application process is completely online and no offline correspondence should be done. Thus, no hard copy of application form or any other relevant document should be sent to the conducting authority.
Question: If I have completed my Class 10 from one state and Class 12 from another, then which state should I select in the field asking for ‘State of Eligibility (for 15% All India Quota)?
Answer: The state selected for 15% All India Quota has no bearing on the student’s admission process since admissions to 15% All India Quota seats doesn’t have any domicile requirements. It does not matter where Class 10 or Class 12 was completed since any candidate can apply to any state except Jammu and Kashmir for the All India Quota seats in NEET 2019.
The best option to enter in this field is the state where the candidate’s permanent address is located or the state where the candidate has full domicile eligibility for 85% state quota seats.
Question: I have given both wrong Email ID and phone number in my NEET application form. What should I do?
Answer: In this case, applicants will not be able to proceed with their application form submission since OTP will be required. This means they will be able to and will have to change the mobile phone number and Email ID immediately. Please be careful while filling the form and enter only the correct details.
Question: What year of passing should I enter in my NEET application form if I have appeared for improvement exam after Class 12?
Answer: As long as aspirants are appearing in the improvement exam only to get better marks and not because they have failed in any subjects and wish to pass, then enter the original year of passing only. If they have already cleared their Class 12 with the necessary passing marks in the first attempt, and that these marks are above the required marks for NEET eligibility, then that should be the year which an aspirant should enter in the application form.
However, if students have not cleared Class 12 and are appearing again to pass certain subjects in the exam, then they should enter as appearing and choose Code 01 as their qualifying exam code.
NEET 2019 FAQs on Exam Pattern
Question: Is there any changes in NEET paper pattern 2019?
Answer: No, with the change in conducting authority, it was informed that the exam pattern of NTA NEET 2019 will not be changed.
Following are points which will be unchanged in NEET 2019:
NEET syllabus 2019 – From the beginning, it has been mentioned that syllabus will be the same. The questions will be asked from topics covered in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Medium of exam – NEET will be conducted in 11 languages likewise last year
Mode of exam – Earlier, the exam was expected to be held in online mode, but later on, it was changed. Alike last year, the exam will be held in computer based mode.

NEET 2019 FAQs for Admit Card
Question: I cannot check my application status. Can I download my NEET admit card 2019?
Answer: To download the hall ticket of NEET, one need to enter the registration number and password. If the application status cannot be checked, but if a candidate has the confirmation page, then they can download the admit card.
Note: Unable of downloading the NEET 2019 admit card signifies that the application form of applicant has not been accepted by the authority.
Question: If one does not get the admit card, whom to contact?
Answer: It must be noted that admit card will not be sent to the candidates, it will be available on the official website only. In case the candidates who cannot download the admit card or faces some issues while downloading the admit card, they must immediately contact the examination conducting authority regarding the same, or they can also communicate the matter to them through email.
Question: What are the documents to be carried at the NEET UG exam centres 2019?
Answer: Candidates need to carry the following documents at the exam centre of NEET MBBS 2019:
Admit card along with the passport size photograph affixed on it
One passport size photograph to be pasted on the attendance sheet
Note: Aspirants are advised not to carry any other items to the exam centres. Even the ball-point pens will also be made available by NTA at the exam centres. It must be noted that no arrangements will be made for candidates to keep their belongings.
Question: In the NEET admit card 2019, the photo uploaded is with name and date, but I have affixed the photograph without name and date. Will this make any problem at the exam centre?
Answer: As per the previous year brochure of NEET, there is no regulation mentioned. However, it is advised to students not to take any risk or else they will lose a chance of getting admission to MBBS course in their desired college. Thus, they must affix the passport size photograph as used in the application form and that has been uploaded in the admit card.
Question: What should be the size of passport size photograph that will be affixed on the admit card of NEET UG?
Answer: As per the previous year rules, one must affix passport size photograph with the following dimensions:
Photo dimension: 2X2 inch, 35 X 45 mm or 35 X 35 mm (5 X 5 cm, 3.5 X 4.5 cm, 3.5 X 3.5 cm)

Stay relaxed and try not to panic.
You can do meditation to keep your mind calm and focused.
Try to speak about your anxiety without panicking infront of your parents or the concerned elders.
Later in the evening or afternoon (if not tired), you can go through some previous years question papers, but don’t try to solve it.

Question: Is there any dress code to be followed to appear for NEET 2019?
Answer: To avoid any irregularity in the exam, the candidates are required to follow the NEET dress code 2019 correctly. It’s mandatory for aspirants to check the following details:
Dress code for male aspirants:
Male candidates are instructed to wear half-sleeves shirt/t-shirts during the examination. The full sleeves shirts are not allowed.
Last year, the authority had mentioned that the clothes should be light which meant that zips, pockets, big buttons and elaborate embroidery should be avoided.
Boys should not wear kurta-pyjamas, instead of that, they can prefer trousers on the D-day.

The customary dresses refers to a traditional dresses or an attire pertaining to a specific religion. Burqa and head scarves will be included in this. As per the order of Delhi High Court last year, Sikh aspirants were allowed to carry Kangha, Kara and Kirpan with them inside the examination hall. Such articles will be considered as the customary articles.
While filling the application form of NEET 2019, candidates will be asked whether they are intended to wear such customary dresses or any other clothings which is contrary to the dress code.
NEET 2019 FAQs on Answer Key
Question: Is there any difference between NEET answer key 2019 and NEET answer key by Aakash?

Question: When is the final date for declaration of NEET result 2019?
Answer: As per the notification of NTA, the final date for declaration of the NEET result 2019 is June 5 in online mode only. No result will be send to the candidates through post or any other sources.
Question: After the announcement of the NEET UG result 2019 will the state merit list also be published?
Answer: No, the state merit list will not be published along with NEET result. National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the result for all candidates who appeared for the test. Aspirants selected under 15% All India Quota scheme will be eligible to participate for counselling procedure.
For admission to 85% state quota seats, the state counselling authorities will use the NEET scores to prepare the state merit list. Based on the merit rank included in the state rank list, the admission will be granted to government and private medical colleges/institutions.
Question: I scored low in NEET result 2019 as per the competition, but I am not ready to drop a year, again. What should I do now?
Answer: In this case, aspirants need not worry and just keep patience and wait for the state merit list. However, aspirants must apply for 85% state quota seats if they are the resident of that particular state.
